Hello, my name is Ms. Ashley and I am the child care provider at
Lots-4-Tots Child Care. I have been a home provider for over 10 years and spent numerous years caring for children before that. Throughout my life, no matter what line of work I was in at the time, I always did the best job I possibly could. I do not look at caring for children any differently. I view being a child care provider as a blessing and I have a true understanding and passion for implementing quality care. I am loving, positive, nurturing, playful, responsible, reliable, trustworthy, sensitive, patient, organized, authoritative and tenacious. These traits give me the confidence that my purpose is to be a caregiver and teacher to children. I recognize what an honor it is to be entrusted with the safety and well being of your most priceless treasures.
Your children have about 1,825 days from the day they are born until they enter kindergarten. Incredibly, 90% of brain development happens during this short time. This is the reason I am committed to maintaining and enhancing my knowledge and skills through professional development. I have provided over 30,000 hours of child care in my life. I obtain the experience, knowledge and skills parents expect of their provider. I realize how important my role is in their lives. I strive to make a difference by always making sure my children know they are loved, smart, special, unique, valuable and that they can do anything they believe in their hearts they can do. I want every child in my care to grow up to be positive, happy, healthy, grateful, self-reliant, compassionate, empathetic and confident in themselves and their abilities.
I have a wonderful little family that consists of my husband Andrew and our son Reece. These two boys keep me on my toes and have taught me what unconditional love truly is. Even though child care is a big part of my life, if I have any spare time I love spending it with my family and friends, shopping, reading, playing games, cooking, gardening, watching movies, discussing life's big questions and particularly going to the lake in the summers!
Unofficially, I am a toy finder, summersault turner, back patter, song singer, diaper changer, story writer, skinned knee fixer, cold coffee drinker, referee, problem solver, hand holder, paint cup filler, block builder, book reader, puddle splasher, dancer, train track master, potty trainer, friend, waiter, cook, bookkeeper, janitor, tear wiper, hug giver, difference maker, small business operator and preschool teacher.
Officially, I am a child care provider :)
My Promise to You
I promise that each day your child will learn something new.
Some days it will come home in their hands.
Some days it will come home in their heads.
Some days it will come home in their hearts.
A Teachers Prayer
I want to teach my students more than lessons in a book;
I want to teach them deeper things that people overlook-
The value of a rose in bloom. its use and beauty, too
A sense of curiosity to discover what is true;
How to think and how to choose the right above the wrong,
How to live and learn each day and grow up to be strong;
To teach them always how to gain in wisdom and in grace.
So they will someday make the world a brighter, better place.
Lord, let me be a friend and guide to give these minds a start
Upon their way down life's long road, then I'll have done my part.
